Paul commenced work with Steele & Walker as a clerk of law in 1994. Since that time, Paul has concentrated and focused upon criminal law, Family law and contested estates. Paul continues to advise clients in relation to a broad range of areas either directly related or ancillary to these practice areas.

Paul has qualifications in law and accounting from Macquarie University and is admitted as a solicitor in both the Supreme and High Courts.

Christian Hobbs joined Peninsula Law as a solicitor in 1999, choosing to work for the firm due to its solid reputation for delivering quality legal services within a friendly environment to families and individuals on the Central Coast.

With a combined Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Laws Degree and over 25 years’ experience in the legal sector, Christian specialises in personal injury matters including Workers Compensation, Motor Accidents Compensation, Public Liability Compensation Claims, Medical Negligence Claims and advice in Employment and Industrial Law. He has practiced as a solicitor since October 1997 and is a Law Society Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.

Originally from the Northern Beaches, Christian has lived on the Central Coast for the past 22 years. He is a former Director and Company Secretary for Central Coast Grammar School, a volunteer surf life saver, coach for a junior rugby league team and a sponsor of local sporting teams including rugby league and rugby union.

Christian believes that clients appreciate the hard work that the Peninsula Law team put into achieving the best possible outcomes for them and the way they are able to explain what are often complex legal matters in a straightforward, easy to understand way. Focused on communicating with clarity, he has often been known to say, “The volume of your voice does not increase the validity of your argument”.

In his spare time, Christian enjoys keeping fit and healthy.

Kylie Tritton was born and raised on the Central Coast and is the very proud daughter of one of the founding partners of Peninsula Law, David Steele.

After graduating from Gosford High School, Kylie worked for a sole practitioner in the Sydney CBD whilst studying a Bachelor of Laws. Kylie was very fortunate to obtain a vast amount of experience in many different areas of law, particularly in property and commercial law. These areas of law are now her primary focus, together with estate planning and estate administration.

Kylie was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2011 and admitted to the High Court of Australia in 2012. She returned to the Coast to continue practicing law in 2014 and became a Partner of Peninsula Law in 2017.

An active member of the local community, Kylie is a member of several local boards including the Central Coast Grammar School Board of Directors, Central Coast Rugby 7's Academy and the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal Committee.

Kylie is a happily married, mother of two children and loves to spend time with her family. She is also the sister of another partner, Peter Steele.

Peter Steele commenced working as a Solicitor at Peninsula Law in 2016 and became a partner in 2019. His main practice areas include Personal Injury Law, Commercial and Business Law, Civil Litigation, Wills and Estates, Planning and Business Advice.

With a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science and Law, Peter commenced his career as a Software Developer and Systems Analyst, primarily for the NSW Government Insurance and Workers Compensation Agencies. He spent almost a decade working with many of the NSW State Insurance and Workers Compensation Agencies that support the Personal Injury Sector, including Workcover, SIRA, SafeWork, Workers Compensation Commission (WCC), Motor Accidents Authority (MAA), WIRO (now IRO) and Dust Disease Board (DDB).

Fifteen years later, Peter transitioned into practicing as a Solicitor full-time. His father, David Steele, was a founding partner of Peninsula Law and he grew up around the business. This ignited his desire to work in law from a very young age and there was never a question in his mind that he wanted to one day work alongside his father at Peninsula Law.

Peter believes, “Peninsula Law has succeeded on the Central Coast for so many years because of the way it treats its clients and the results it generates for those clients. The firm's Partners, Solicitors and support staff are all genuine, honest and hardworking, which makes our clients come back for their future legal needs and also promotes positive referrals from these clients.

Peter was born and raised on the Central Coast. He attended Copacabana Primary School and Gosford High School before attending Macquarie University and the University of England to get to where he is today. When he is not fulfilling his duties as a partner at Peninsula Law, Peter enjoys spending time with his family and is engrossed in playing sports such as rugby union, golf and athletics. Peter is part of Avoca Beach Rugby Club as both a player and a coach and has been involved with the Rugby club for over 20 years.

As a proud local within our community, Peter also gives time to community legal programs such as the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Will Week and the Salvation Army Will Day. He is also a founding member of the Wild Fig Service Alliance, an alliance of skilled local business people working together to deliver service excellence and benefits to the community on the Central Coast.

Mary commenced working in John Webster’s legal practices in Sydney and at Umina Beach as a student in 1980, completed a Bachelor of Legal Studies with Honours in 1986 , was admitted as a solicitor in 1987 and became an accredited specialist in property law in 1994.  

Mary has continued working in property, wills, estates,  conveyancing , small business matters and various aspects of elder law in Umina Beach and Woy Woy since that time.

David attended De La Salle Revesby Heights until Yr 10 then Benilde High for the HSC.

David obtained apprenticeship with City Ford Crown Street, Sydney and completed trade in 1990.

David backpacked around Europe and Scandinavia and lived and worked in London for 18 months.

David joined NSW Police in 1992. Working in General Duties at Campbelltown the Bankstown Police Stations.

David played Rugby League in the Police Competition for Bankstown Giants.

David transferred to Bankstown Detectives in 1995 competed Investigators Course, Detectives Course, Sexual Assault Initial Response Course and enrolled in the Legal Practitioners Admission Board.

David was attached to the Homicide division in 1998 for a Double Murder in Bankstown and was awarded the Commissioner’s Commendation.

David investigated Plane crashes, extradited offenders from interstate, and travelled interstate on investigations.

David transferred North Region Police Prosecutions at Gosford.

David prosecuted at Gosford, Woy Woy, Wyong, Forster, Taree, Bourke, Brewarrina, Ryde, Downing Centre and ors.

David assisted the Coroner at Gosford, prosecuted for Fisheries, Roads and Traffic Authority and RSPCA.

David was employed by Tonkin Drysdale Partners from 2005 to 2008 in Criminal and Family Law.

In 2008 David Started David Kelly Lawyers, first based at Kariong then at Woy Woy.

David subcontracted to Roads and Traffic Authority prosecuting License Appeals and Heavy Vehicle Offences.

David participated in Mock Courts for RTA training legal staff and officers at North Sydney and Glen Innes.

David appears in Local, District, Supreme Court in Murder, Kidnapping, Arson, Sexual Assault, Malicious Wounding, Large Commercial Drug Supply and Import matters and the usual Woy Woy matters.

David has been married for 28 years, 2 boys and is a proud resident of the Peninsula

David's Hobbies are golf, travelling and motorcycles.

Emma joined the Peninsula Law team in 2021, as a Law Clerk whilst completing her studies. During her time as a Law Clerk, Emma was fortunate enough to obtain experience in several areas of law, Since her admission as a solicitor Emma has predominately practised in the areas of criminal law and family law.

Emma graduated from Macquarie University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and is admitted as a solicitor in both the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.

Grace joined Peninsula Law in 2021, gaining experience in conveyancing and property related matters. She is a former student of Gosford High School and continued her studies at University of Newcastle, graduating with a Bachelor Degree in Law (Honours) & Bachelor of Business in 2023.

Since her admission as a solicitor in late 2023, Grace has predominately practised in the areas of property law and commercial law.

Harry started working at Peninsula Law in 2022 gaining experience in all areas of law. 

Harry graduated from Macquarie University in 2023 with a Bachelor Degree in Law and Environment after graduating from Central Coast Grammar School in 2018.

Since his admission as a solicitor in 2024, Harry has predominately practised in the areas of Civil Litigation, Wills and Estates and Personal Injury Law.

Outside of work, he enjoys all things rugby, surfing and tennis. As a former volunteer surf life saver and local rugby union player, Harry is keen to help give back to the community through his work within the law.

Jay Dunlop is a Graduate Lawyer at Peninsula Law who joined the firm in January 2024.

Jay holds a Juris Doctor from the University of New South Wales (2023) and a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons I) from the University of Newcastle (2016).

Before joining Peninsula Law, Jay worked for seven years with a NDIS Partner Organisation in the disability sector.

Jay will soon be admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2024 and currently works across multiple practice areas including conveyancing, commercial law, and estate planning.
